Aghios Gordios

Spectacular sunsets and crystal clear waters....

The most amazing thing about Aghios Gordios (Agios Gordios) is the breathtaking view that you see when you first drive through the mountains and down to the centre of the village.

Even though we live in Aghios Gordios all year round, we never get tired of seeing the vast horizon of the Ionian sea merging into clear blue sky. You really have to visit us to know what we mean!

Surrounded by green rocky mountains (which are more reminiscent of Thailand than Greece), Aghios Gordios is a small quiet village centred around the main road running down to the beach.

It's a dramatic picture, a great curve ending at a steep craggy islet, and is a good base for walkers and nature lovers as well as seekers of a quiet beach holiday.
 

The beach itself is one and a half kilometres of sand and pebble. At the far end the sand shelves gently into the sea and here there are plenty of beach front bars and restaurants.

If you head north, the beach becomes more pebbly, less populated and perfect for rock pooling, fishing, snorkelling and more private sunbathing.

On top of all this dramatic scenery our location on the west coast of Corfu means that we are blessed with the some of the most beautiful sunsets in Greece.  Perfect for a sunset drink before dinner!
