If this is your
first time to Greece then you will need an introduction to this amazing
instrument. It looks a little bit like a mandolin, and has a very
unique sound that epitomises traditional Greek music.
Our Bouzouki
player Christos, apart from being a great showman (he loves to get us up
to dance and sing and generally create a great atmosphere) is a real
professional and repeatedly amazes us at how fast and skilled he is with his
instrument.
Each player has
their own Bouzouki which can cost anywhere between €3-6,000 each. The
instruments are hand made from sea-shells and
take more than 3 months to make. |
