Sebastian's Guest Book

“This is a fantastic restaurant that caters really well for non meat eaters, offering many vegetarian dishes. The fish dishes are to die for, and the sea bass was the size of a small shark. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so welcoming and friendly with many locals and tourists returning again and again. During our two week visit we could only fit in two visits but really wished we had time for more.”

“This was the second taverna we visited. We had promised to ourselves we would try the salads first, go to the next place and repeat, if we don't like it. We ended up going there almost every night, and Sebastian even had the time to sit and spend some time with us, and tell us about the background story of the place. If you go to Corfu and you don't go to Sebastian's at least once during your nights on the island, you might as well sit in the hotel and eat bread and salt instead.”

“We had dinner with our two kids age 2 and 3. The food was very tasteful and service was friendly. Kids menu is highly recommended, our kids enjoyed the lasagne and ice cream dessert for only 6 euro pp. The restaurant has a very nice garden like setting slightly up from the road. Desserts were really good! Kids friendly.”

“We stayed there for 10 days on a half board basis so ate both breakfast and evening meal there.

Over the course of 10 days we never ate a poor meal. We ate as a family and I had a different meal each night. There is a main menu and a children's menu, though Sebastian's will provide adult dishes in child size portions if required. Price wise starters are priced around the €4.50 to €6 mark. With the deep fried kalamari at €5.95 which was absolutely delicious. Main dishes sit around the €9.50 mark and rise to around €15 for a steak or mixed grill. The most expensive dish is the fish platter at €35. Children's mains are around €5 for a pizza, though at €3 the pastitsio and pastitsda are unbelievable value.

Stand out dishes for me were the arni lemonata (lamb in lemon) slow cooked lamb that literally falls apart, the pastitsio (like a lasagne but with macaroni) and the pastitsada (large chunks of beef, slow cooked) and the grilled octopus.
Desserts are all made in house and the lemon cheesecake, apple crumble and tiramisu were all excellent.

House wines made from the grapes which you sit underneath are priced at €6 for half a litre. I for one don't normally drink white wine but the house white here went down very nicely!!

Sebastian's also do breakfast which maintained the high standards of their evening food.

The staff are also very good and we never had any issues about waits for food.
If you are staying in AG then I would heartily recommend Sebastian's.

However I would advise this restaurant is full virtually every night. You either turn up early for a table or book. We saw a number of people turn up without booking and had to leave.

Trust me though, book a table, sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy some of the most delicious and authentic food you will find.”

“We visited for lunch and dinner nearly everyday whilst we were on holiday in Agios Gordios. The staff are so lovely, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is absolutely delicious and all homemade, the choice is vast and it is very reasonably priced! The moussaka is the best I have ever had as was the chocolate brownie! We enjoyed it so much we even had to take some home with us! Couldn't recommend this place enough, would advise booking though as they get extremely busy! A massive thank you to all the staff who served us, you made our holiday!”
